Happy New Year! As we enter 2017, Abba’s House of Welcome (the refugee portion of Abba’s House) would like to continue introducing our board members to all of you following, supporting, and praying for our ministry. Today it is our joy for you to meet Lisa Henney of Houston, TX.
Born in Utopia, Texas, Lisa met Pat while she attended Texas A&M University. They were married in 1991 shortly before she graduated from Texas Women’s University with a BS in History. Besides raising two beautiful daughters (age 22 and 18), Lisa has worked as a bookkeeper, a church campus administrator, and is currently the office manager for JCF Bridge & Concrete, Inc. Lisa is also a Dave Ramsey Financial Coach and LOVES coordinating Financial Peace University classes with her smoking hot husband, Pat (yes, Pat wrote that). Lisa loves sports talk radio, roller skating, and a certain guy who loves restoring old tractors and engines.
Michael and Julie first met Pat and Lisa when we were all in the new member class at St. John Lutheran in Cypress, TX, over 10 years ago. Our families had quite the fun adventure camping together at Inks Lake, and Lisa and Michael worked together while she was the campus administrator for St. John. When we were ready to begin gathering a team of folks to help us make Abba’s House happen, Pat and Lisa were the first people we sought out because of Lisa’s excellent financial skills and logistical know-how and Pat’s solid ability to pull together hard-working project teams that get the job done while having a ton of fun. We are thrilled to have this dynamic duo partnering with us for this Kingdom work!
