Final Board Introduction

“And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me.  And they said, ‘Let us rise up and build.’  So they strengthened their hands for the good work.”  (Nehemiah 2:18)

Abba’s House of Welcome (the refugee portion of Abba’s House) would like to continue introducing our board members to all of you following, supporting, and praying for our ministry.  Today we introduce with gratitude Paul Morrisett of Cypress, TX.

dsc_0485-2   Paul Morrisett, a graduate of Baylor University and a residential home builder in Houston for Trendmaker Homes, has been an active participant in Lifebridge Church for the past six years. He has served on the building committee, enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and participated in the men’s ministry at Lifebridge.  Paul loves being involved in small outreach projects in the surrounding community and is often the first man on the scene to assess the situation of a person or family in need of home repair. He is married to his beautiful wife Kristen, and they have three sons: Weston(10), Grant(7), and Thomas(2).   As a family, the Morrisetts have welcomed people into their home when in need of a place to live, and they provided long-term care for their dearly-loved grandpa (Pop Pop) and mom.  Paul, Kristen, and their boys definitely have the gift of hospitality and a spirit of welcome that their family, church family, and community appreciate.  They are both go-getters and ready to see this ministry launched and growing!

We could not be more excited and thankful to have Paul serving on our board, especially in the advisory role of the building of Abba’s House and future development of this ministry.  For quite a while now we have sensed God leading us to invite Paul to a key leadership role, so this was an obvious fit that seemed to have the wind of God in it.  Thank you, Paul, for being a fellow soldier who has our backs and is ready for anything in this adventure!
